Anthony Papadopoulos was born in Athens where he finished his secondary studies (Athens College). He continued his graduate studies in Civil Engineering-Architecture and post graduate studies in Engineering and Planning at the University of Liege in Belgium.

He worked successively as assistant at the University of Liege, official at the Ministry of Public Works in Liege, at "Equerre" ( architecture and urban planning cabinet in Liege), and as an independent engineer co-founder of the group ECOS Liege. He continued his career in Saudi Arabia at the private office of Prince Halid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz and the company Thomson CSF before returning to his homeland where he has worked, since 1994 as an employee at the  Agency of Social Housing  (OEK) in various positions. He\\\'s currently Head of the Research and Technology Department. He participated actively in the CECODHAS at the time of its creation, as executive secretary of the Public Sector Section. He also participated as a representative of the OEK in the Med Ecoquartires European programme (2005-07).

Currently, he participates in the ELIH-MED Project entitled"Energy efficiency in low-income housing   in the Mediterranean that is being developed  in the framework of the MED Programme. The ELIH-Med project\\\'s objective is to identify and conduct a large scale experimentation of cost effective solutions and innovative public and private financing mechanisms backed with Structural Funds to foster energy efficiency investment in low income housings or household in a state of energy poverty. The project results will lead to elaborate an operational plan of coordination of European financial instruments in the context of a Mediterranean macro-regional strategy 2014-2020.
